Chappell Farms is a small family business in Shelby County, Alabama. When you purchase from us you are helping to keep a small business alive and well. We do our very best to purchase our supplies from other small business owners. All of our products are made by hand in small batches using only the finest ingredients. Our soaps cleanse your skin without stripping natural oils. Our lotions and creams leave your skin feeling soft and silky.
Our interest in soap began because our daughter has very sensitive skin. The only commercial soap that she can use without problems is Dove, and even that left her skin dry. I read everything that I could find about skin-care and came to realize that Dove and most of the other products out there aren't even really soap. They are detergent bars. The Dove bar was stripping her skin of its natural oils. Thus began my journey into the wonderful world of soapmaking. I love creating and experimenting but most of all, I love the way that my daughter's skin feels now that she uses my soaps exclusively. No more itchy, dry feeling after her bath. No dry scaly patches on her body. The difference has been tremendous. I can tell the difference in my skin too! My husband, who was a bit skeptical at first, now compares everything he tries to my soap and my soap comes out a winner!

Why Use Our Handmade Products?

What ISN'T in our products is just as important as what IS in them. Our handmade soaps contain no synthetic detergents which can strip the skin's natural oils. Our soaps do contain luxurious oils and butters that are good for your skin. We use only the finest ingredients including olive oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, sweet almond oil, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, sunflower oil, and in our most luxurious products, a touch of mink oil.

Our handmade lotions, creams, and body butters contain no added alcohol, and are made from some of the same luxurious oils that we use in our soaps. We do not use mineral oils or petroleum products in our lotions and creams.

Our Shipping Policies

We ship our products via USPS Priority Mail. In most cases, we are able to ship within 48 hours. If you order an item that is not in stock we will contact you and give you the option of waiting for that item, ordering a replacement item, or requesting a refund. At this time, we ship within the United States only. We strive to keep our shipping costs as low as possible. Shipping charges are listed below. They will be automatically added to your order as you go through the checkout process.
